EKOBA class of 80 donate Mathematics textbooks to alma mater

Members of 1980 set (E80) of Service Club of Eko Boys High School Old Boys Association (EKOBA) have donated Mathematics textbooks to their alma mater.
This is contained in a statement issued by E80 Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Mikail Adegoke-Mumuni on Sunday.
“The presentation of the books was made on Friday by a four-member delegation of E80 (1975-1980 set) led by the President of the club, Mr Akinpelu Osuntoki, at the school’s premises located at Labinjo Street, Mushin, Lagos,” the PRO said.
Osuntoki said the donation of the books; “I-Can-Solve-It (collation of past Mathematics questions and answers),” was meant to equip SS3 students of Eko Boys’ High School (EBHS) for better performance in their external examinations.
He said this would also aid their understanding of Mathematics.
While commending the principal of the school, Mr A. M. Lasisi, and his management team for doing a good job in nurturing the students, Osuntoki urged parents to instil the virtues of diligence and hard work in their children.
“Your children spend more time with you at home than they spend with their teachers in school.
“You therefore have as much role, if not more, to play in ensuring that they become good citizens in life.
“Whatever we have become today are largely due to what we learnt here in our student days and the contributions of our parents to our upbringing,” the E80 president said.
Receiving the textbooks, Mr Lasisi thanked members of E80 and the entire EKOBA for their sustained interest in the progress and development of the school.
Chairman of the Parents Forum, Mrs. Cephiat Tijani, while appreciating the book donation, urged the old students not to relent in their efforts and prayed to God to continue to bless them.
Members of E80 that accompanied their president to the event include Alhaji Adegoke-Mumuni; Navy Commander Rasaki Kolawole Shodeinde (rtd) and Mr Adewunmi Aderibigbe.
The presentation was attended by the school’s management and members of the Parents Forum.
